How To Use
How to Use Silagen Clear Strips
- Begin use after 2 weeks (you may begin using the strips once the wound has closed - no bleeding or oozing) and after any stitches have been removed
- Do not put on open wounds
- Ensure the scar area is clean and dry, as well as free from creams, lotions, ointments and powders
- Apply strip to scar/area desired for treatment
- To keep adhesiveness and clean: Wash with soapy and water or Silagen cleanser every 2-3 uses
- Allow to fully dry
- Once dry, cosmetics and compression garments may be used over the scar
- Use twice daily for 8-12 weeks for optimal results. Patients who use Silagen consistently twice a day for 2 months get the best results
- If you are prone to forming excessive scars (hypertrophic or keloid) you may want to continue treatment for up to 6 months
- Do not use the sheets in combination with the Silagen gel or additional strips. They will not stick to the skin if you do.

FAQs
Silagen Clear Strips FAQs
Q: What are Silagen clear strips used for?
A: Silagen clear strips are designed to treat small, linear scars from minor surgeries, injuries, or cosmetic procedures. They help soften, flatten, and fade scars by keeping the skin hydrated and protected during healing.
Q: How do Silagen clear strips help improve scar appearance?
A: The medical-grade silicone creates a breathable barrier that regulates moisture and reduces excess collagen production. With consistent daily use, scars often become smoother, lighter, and less raised over time.
Q: How long should I wear Silagen clear strips each day?
A: For best results, wear the strips for 8–12 hours daily. Most users see noticeable improvement after 6–10 weeks, depending on scar age, size, and consistent use.
Q: Can the clear strips be cut to fit my scar size?
A: Yes. You can trim the strips with clean scissors to match your scar’s exact length. Make sure the strip fully covers the scar area to ensure even silicone contact.
Q: When can I start using Silagen clear strips after a procedure?
A: You can begin once the incision is fully healed and approved by your healthcare provider. Starting early supports better collagen control and helps prevent raised or discolored scarring.
