How to Use Silagen Scar Gel SPF for Best Results
Use only after wound closure; follow the steps below for optimal scar protection.
- Begin use after 2 weeks (you may begin using the gel once the wound has closed no bleeding or oozing) and after any removable stitches have been removed
- Do not put on open wounds
- Ensure the scar area is clean and dry, as well as free from creams, lotions, ointments and powders
- Apply a very small amount of gel to the scar and gently massage
- Allow to fully dry
- Once dry, cosmetics and compression garments may be used over the scar
- Use twice daily for 8-12 weeks for optimal results. Patients who use Silagen consistently twice a day for 2 months get the best results.
- If you are prone to forming excessive scars (hypertrophic or keloid) you may want to continue treatment for up to 6 months
- Do not use the gel under Silagen silicone sheets, strips, or shapes. They will not stick to the skin if you do.
This product involves an airless pump. In order to prime it, turn the bottle upside down and tap it 10 times on the bottom. Then press the pump multiple times until the product dispenses.

I use it after getting my lasers and microneedling. Is really great, but I will recommended to use it alone with no makeup. This is my 4th time buying it. Love it!!

That if I used Silagen for 6 months to a year post surgery (breast augmentation) that there would be very little scarring afterwards. And he didn't lie. I had the surgery in mid January and now you cannot see the scarring but if you touch you feel it somewhat. But this is EXACTLY what I had wanted. The Skin Spot got my order to me.
